Frequently Asked Questions
I suppose that it is about time that I added one of these pages to the site, so here it is. Believe it or not, people do ask me questions about all the many things I do. Not all of them are what I would have imagined, but there are quite a few that are asked often enough to actual make this seem like a legit thing to have on my site. If you would like to ask me a question, please do so in the comment form at the bottom of this page!
Q: You write books?
A: Yes. I have written a few.
Q: When do you sleep?
A: When I can. Usually with the aid of alcohol as my brain seems to never want to shut up.
Q: Do you make any money?
A: Of course I do. I mean, not really from my writing or the cooking shows. I have a job or two that pays me money so that I can slave through what would be my free time to entertain you!
Q: Why bother if you don't make a living at this?
A: Because of you, the one reading this now. I get a lot of interesting stories about how my story inspired this or that, or how my cooking show has done something great for a person. In the end, when I hear from a fan, and know that I made a connection, I have been paid. Life isn't about money, it is about experience.
Q: Did you go to school for cooking?
A: No. I learned to cook as any wise fellow. I try, and I have failed at times. I learned from not only success, but from my failures as well.
Q: How do you find time to do all that you do?
A: I often don't and am always struggling to catch up or just to keep pace. My wife often complains that she feels I should juts do one thing, but as my mind refuses to let me focus on one thing at any time I feel that my chaotic variety of work suits me.
Q: How do you come up with idea for your books and stories?
A: Everywhere. Many of my books and stories started from remembered dreams. Others stories came into my mind when I saw something and my brain had a witty retort about it. Sometimes a simple idea will just snowball in my mind until I start writing it down, and sometimes I just have an explosive idea that keeps growing exponentially until I have reached an end. Sadly, there are so many thoughts and ideas that slip away before I get a chance to write them down. Ideas are everywhere.
